Welcome to the 2021 IMEKO TC25 Events on August 30 & September 1
date 2021-08-23 file IMEKO_TC25_Meetings_Announcement.pdf ,

The IMEKO XXIII World congress (IMEKO2021) on \"Measurement: sparking tomorrow\'s smart revolution\" will be held from August 30 - September 3, 2021. See more details in the conference website: https://imeko2021.org/.

A new technical committee, TC25 for ˇ°Quantum Measurement and Quantum Informationˇ± was established this year and will organize two special sessions for IMEKO2021 (Draft announcements are attached).

The sessions include ˇ°Session1: Advances and Directions in Quantum Metrologyˇ± and ˇ°Session2: Growing the Quantum Economy through Metrology, Workforce, and Supply Chain Developmentˇ±.

The second quantum revolution is ushering in new levels of control and manipulation of light and matter which are continually improving the world-best performance of standards in metrology institutes. Along with the redefinition of the International System of Units (SI), which provides new pathways for traceability, these advances are enabling a new generation of miniaturized, intrinsically accurate and quantum-referenced standards and sensors with tremendous economic potential. These in turn lead to exciting challenges for metrology.

Please distribute this information to your colleagues concerned. APMP members are warmly welcome to participate in the IMEKO 2021 TC25 sessions to get valuable insights for future metrology.

Both the two sessions are free of charge and participants can join by clicking the meeting link without registration.
