KRISS Korea, Successful holding of the 2024 KRISS Academy GMA Group Course
The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) successfully held the KRISS Academy GMA Group Course (*MAC) from September 23 to October 2, 2024, in Daejeon. The KRISS Academy is an HRD (Human Resource Development) organization launched in 2024, formed by integrating the GMA Course, which had been offered since 2013, with the UST-KRISS School.
*MAC: Metrology in Analytical Chemistry
This course was attended by 16 participants from metrology institutes across 13 countries, including Sri Lanka, India, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, with 12 of them participating through financial support from PTB in Germany.
The course structure included a mix of theoretical lectures and practical sessions, covering general metrology, organic analysis, and inorganic analysis. Throughout the course, participants engaged in hands-on activities that reinforced the theoretical knowledge presented in the lectures.
Experts from KRISS's Organic Measurement Group and Inorganic Measurement Group participated as instructors, providing clear answers to participants' questions and resolving their inquiries. According to the participants' survey conducted after the completion of the course, the lecture content was well aligned with the educational objectives, and the instructors' in-depth knowledge, as well as the well-organized teaching materials, were highly appreciated.
The KRISS Academy GMA Group Course successfully wrapped up, offering participants a valuable opportunity to enhance their metrological capabilities and foster international collaboration.
