NMC Singapore, NMC Joins IMEKO to Strengthen Global Metrology Ties
The National Metrology Centre (NMC) officially became a member of the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO) on 25th August 2024. IMEKO, a non-governmental federation of 42 Member Organizations, focuses on advancing measurement technology and promoting scientific and technical exchange among experts worldwide.
NMC's membership underscores its dedication to advancing metrology and fostering international collaboration. As part of this partnership, NMC aims to contribute to IMEKO's global network, sharing expertise in measurement science and technology.
Additionally, NMC staff member Dr. Cui Shan participated as a panellist in the discussion Sustainability through Precision: Women Leading Metrology and Energy at the IMEKO 2024 XXIV World Congress. She shared her insights on data-driven sensing and quality assurance in metrology for sustainability and energy. Dr. Cui Shan was also invited to join the editorial board of IMEKO's journal Measurement: Energy.
