In 2025, the COOMET Office has been established in Tashkent. The Meeting of the Presidential Council, as well as the sessions of TC 1.2 and TC 1.5, were held in Tashkent. A representative of UzNIM was elected as the Chair of TC 4.
Employees of UzNIM have completed internships at leading metrological institutes worldwide, such as NMC A*STAR, NIMT, NIM China, KRISS, SMU, CMI and others.
UzNIM has also become A-NMI Liaison Organisation of EURAMET.
UzNIM employees took part in international seminars and conferences within the framework of BIPM UTC, APMP, EURAMET, IAEA.
Representatives of Uzbekistan took part in the events organized by the BIPM within the framework of the World Metrology Day, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Metric Convention.
The Government of Uzbekistan has discussed and approved the accession of Uzbekistan to the International Metric Convention (to become a full member of the BIPM).
For the first time, UzNIM has been accredited according to the ISO 17034 standard for the production of certified reference materials of kinematic viscosity of liquids.
A specialist of UzNIM has developed the software “Acoustic Calculator 1.0” designed for conversion, performing calculations, operations based on acoustics-related formulas, and generating octave and fractional-octave frequency series.
The branches of UzNIM have developed six prototypes of measuring instruments for the verification and calibration of voltmeters and electrical quantities, barometers, level gauges, length, manometers and mano-vacuum meters, as well as for measuring the level of liquefied gas.
New national standards have been created for units of volume, level, surface roughness, specific conductivity of liquids, pH and pX.
The international vocabularies VIM and VIML have been translated and adopted as national standards, and the publication of Uzbekistan’s own scientific and technical journal Metrology of Uzbekistan has been initiated.
